Stage Manager

About Me

Jazlynne is a Resident Stage Manager with Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor, Maine. She is in the process of becoming a part of Actor's Equity Association and looks forward to joining the union. She is currently working as the Assistant Stage Manager on Dial M for Murder with Penobscot which runs January 30 -February 23.

Jazlynne works everyday on productions that exemplify new technical advances, equipment, and enlightening ideas. On top of that her work at Penobscot Theatre Company promotes diversity, inclusivity, and acceptance, while showcasing amazing world class talents from the people who play on the set to the ones who stay behind it. She enjoys working in a collaborative environment and truly thrives in a fast paced and together community. Her passion for creating safe, exceptional, and inclusive theatre is contagious and undeniable.
Her love for Stage Managing lies in the processes of collaboration, communication, and creation. She loves to witness the development of ideas on a page to a final tangible piece of art on a stage. Jazlynne flourishes when developing interpersonal connections and showing genuine care for all involved while she helps to maintain an artistic vision.
She recently worked as the Assistant Stage Manager on Jersey Boys in NY on Long Island. This past year she was the touring Assistant Stage Manager for Stranger Things: The Experience and the touring Stage Manager on The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience produced by Netflix and Fever. She enjoyed seeing new places and experiencing new aspects of stage managing, while having the best time with Demogorgons and on the Queen's court! Her experience with large scale projects, musicals, and plays such as Jersey Boys, A Bridgerton Experience, A Christmas Carol, Blood Brothers, Footloose, Disney's Beauty and the Beast,
A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and 9 to 5: The Musical allows her strong organization skills, impressive communication skills, and contagious charisma shine through. Her work on more intimate and youthful shows such as The Last Paving Stone and Pinkalicious stimulates her creative and imaginative mind and she can envision any story come alive. She is also well versed in classical theatre, and farcical pieces and is proud of her rigorous, in-depth work on Shakespeare's Richard III, Twelfth Night and Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps.

"The theatre was created to tell people the truth about life and the social situation."
